ThrudBall 2023 Update

At ThrudBall 2023, we are hard at work on a lot of things. Prizes are being purchased and auctions are being organised. Artists are being spoken to, and rosters are being submitted. Everything is in hand, but there are a few things that we need to highlight. 

The small bar will be unavailable to us on the Friday night due a private function. This does mean that there will be non Blood Bowlers on site, and this event is a wake, so we ask that everyone is mindful of that, and respectful of the people in that location.

The main bar and main hall are open as normal, and Sevens is proceeding as expected. 

As the venue is a sports club, no dogs are permitted on site. 

Just as a reminder, the venue has given us a new alcohol policy; this means that we are not permitted to drink our own alcohol. All drinks will have to be purchased from the venue.

If you are seen with your own alcohol, you will be asked to pour it out, and failing that you will be asked to leave. 

We have been blown over by the generosity of the community, and we've had to make a decision. Due to the number of items, and the sanity of our auctioneer, we have made the decision that there will be a second fundraising event later in the year. The precise nature of this is yet to be confirmed, but if you don't see your donation in the auction (or the raffle, or as a prize), this is why!

On that note, you'll be pleased to hear that the auction itself has been finalised, and that it will be made public shortly. We will be inviting internet bids, and you'll be able to see all of the lots on the website. In the meantime, please take a look at the Muppets team, and the Wild Things teams!

As a reminder, if you are an international coach, we will provide you with a tent, but we are asking that you provide your own bedding.
